Appointments

To Schedule An Appointment:

To schedule an appointment, please contact our admin team (Sherry or Chris) by phone at 4128 9886 during business hours. When you make an initial enquiry, we will gather some information to assist in scheduling an appointment with one of our psychologists. You may be asked several questions to help determine the most suitable psychologist for your needs.

If applicable, please provide a copy of your Mental Health Care Plan or any other referring paperwork (e.g. NDIS Plan) prior to your initial appointment.  This will allow your psychologist to prepare effectively and ensure the best possible support for your session.

For online enquiries, please complete the Enquiry Form below, and our admin staff will contact you to discuss your enquiry further.

Our business days and opening hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday – Thursday.

At initial appointment, please arrive 10-15 mins early to complete necessary paperwork.  If not already provided, please also bring any potential ‘referring information’ (ie. NDIS Funding Plan etc) with you to assist in completing paperwork and payment.

Reminder SMS is sent the day prior to your scheduled appointment.  This is a courtesy reminder service enabling you to confirm your scheduled appointment via reply SMS.

Cancellation Policy:

At FCP, our psychologists have busy schedules, often with extensive waitlists. When you book an appointment, you are reserving your psychologist’s time specifically for you. To ensure that we can accommodate all clients, we have the following cancellation policy:

  • Did Not Attend (DNA): If you do not attend a confirmed appointment without prior notice, the full fee will be charged.
  • Late Cancellation: If you cancel within 24 hours (1 business day) of the scheduled appointment time, a cancellation fee of 50% of the full fee will apply.

For Example:  If your appointment is at 10am on Tuesday, you must have notified us by 10am on Monday if you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment.  If your appointment is at 10am on Monday, you must have notified us by 10am on Thursday (as this is our last business day prior) if you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

  • Excessive Cancellations or DNA’s: If you have three or more missed appointments or cancellations, your file may be closed, and your referrer will be notified of your non-attendance. You will need to contact us directly to discuss re-engagement with your psychologist.  Any outstanding fees will be applicable prior to re-engagement.

Please note that our cancellation fees are lower than the industry standards set by the Australian Psychological Society, which recommend the following fees:

  • 0–24 hours’ notice: Full fee
  • 24–48 hours’ notice: 50% of the fee
  • 48 hours–7 days’ notice: 25% of the fee

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to our cancellation policy above.
